On-Boarding: Checklist for hiring an employee (check out these resources from CareerBuilder)

 

  1. Obtain completer employment application
  2. Check references, background check
  3. Interview, meet other employees
  4. Check immigration status
  5. Employment offer letter and acceptance
  6. Schedule start date and prepare other departments: IT, Facilities, Security, etc.
  7. Deliver Employee documentation package
    1. Complete W4, setup Payroll program
    2. Complete insurance documents
    3. Deliver employee manual and signed acknowledgement of receipt
